Program Manager (ADV Corporate)

Advanced Decision Vectors, LLC (ADV), established in 2009, provides superior program management, program support, strategic planning, and systems engineering to the Federal and Commercial sectors. Located in Alexandria, Virginia, ADV is a Small Disadvantaged Business (SDB) contractor that has roots established in the Department of Defense and support agencies. We are looking for an experienced ADV Program Manager to join our corporate office. This position will be responsible for coordinating and supervising nontechnical tasks and projects, ensuring alignment with project commitments and specific objectives. The role requires day-to-day coordination and administration to maintain quality and productivity standards while meeting client schedules. Additionally, the Program Manager will manage business development activities and oversee client relations for awarded projects and associated employees. This corporate role supports multiple clients within the ADV framework.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Task and Project Coordination:
    • Oversee specific tasks or nontechnical projects to ensure alignment with project commitments and objectives.
    • Coordinate with other personnel to ensure smooth workflow across functional areas.
  2. Quality and Productivity Standards:
    • Maintain quality and productivity standards in accordance with client schedules.
    • Use administrative tools effectively to control and accomplish tasks.
  3. Client and Program Management:
    • Work with the program manager and clients to provide written management or program plans, maintenance and operations instructions, task status analysis, cost reports, and other related documents.
    • Ensure all activities are carried out in accordance with project commitments or specific objectives.
  4. Documentation and Reporting:
    • Assist with writing manuals and other documentation as needed.
    • Prepare status and task management reports for the area of responsibility.
    • Brief management on the status of action items and metrics to track contract performance.
    • Develop systems for data collection, reporting criteria, and records, research and compile statistics and data for projects.
  5. Business Development:
    • Manage business development activities, including identifying new opportunities and managing client relationships for awarded projects.
    • Coordinate projects and develop solutions to complex problems with considerable latitude in determining objectives and approaches.

Education and Experience:

Education:

  • Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Management, or a related field with 8-10 years of relevant experience or higher.

Certifications (preferred but not required):

  • Project Management Professional (PMP) or similar certification.
  • Certified Business Development Professional (CBDP) or equivalent.

Experience:

  • Proven experience in program management, preferably within a business development or client-facing role.
  • Extensive experience in coordinating and supervising nontechnical tasks and projects.
  • Demonstrated ability to maintain quality and productivity standards while meeting client schedules.
  • Experience in writing and managing program plans, maintenance and operations instructions, task status analysis, cost reports, and related documents.
  • Experience providing project administration support services, including data review, reporting, project coordination, and budget review.
  • Proven track record in managing business development activities and client relationships for awarded projects.
  • Experience supporting high-level executives in project planning, management, and monitoring.
  • Experience with people management, proven experience with leadership skills, collaboration, knowledge of the operations an policies of the company, sense of urgency.
  • Ability to be available to travel and conduct onsite meetings both with the customer and employees.
  • Experience in government contracting (proposals RFIs, RFPs, FAR regulations)

Skills:

  • Strong project management and organizational skills with the ability to handle multiple tasks simultaneously.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills and ability to use AI tools (ex. ChatGPT) to accomplish tasks.
  • Proficiency in using project management and administrative tools for data collection, reporting, and task management.
  • Ability to develop and implement systems for data collection, reporting criteria, and records.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to develop technical solutions to complex problems.
  • High level of attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Ability to work independently with minimal supervision and as part of a team.
  • Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to build and maintain client relationships.

Additional Requirements:

  • Demonstrated ability to exercise considerable latitude in determining objectives and approaches to assignments.
